1. How do I book a session?
Once you’ve decided on the type of session, fill out the contact form on the website or email me directly. We’ll pick a date, then you’ll receive a contract and a session retainer invoice to reserve your spot.

3. What should we wear?
I’ll send you an outfit guide after booking. Generally: solid or soft-toned clothes, minimal logos/patterns, accessories that reflect your personality. I’ll give specific tips depending on your session type.

4. How long will our session last?
Approximate session lengths:
Mini Sessions: ~10–15 minutes
Headshots: ~20–30 minutes
Family / Couples / Maternity: ~45–60 minutes
Senior Portraits: ~60–90 minutes
Newborn Sessions: 1.5–3 hours (baby-led pace)

5. Where does the session take place?
Sessions can be outdoors, at a scenic location, or in-home (for lifestyle newborn, maternity, etc.). I’ll provide location suggestions once you book and we’ll choose a spot that fits your style and vision.

6. What if the weather is bad?
Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled at no extra cost in the case of heavy rain, strong winds, or unsafe conditions. Overcast skies are fine and often beautiful for photos.

7. Can we bring outfit changes?
Yes — for most full-sessions you may bring 1–2 outfit changes (especially Senior Portraits and Couples). For Mini Sessions we usually stay with one outfit to keep the schedule tight.

8. When will we receive our edited photos?
Mini Sessions: typically within 7 days
Family, Couples, Maternity, Headshots: around 1–2 weeks
Senior & Newborn Sessions: 2–3 weeks
If you need your photos sooner, rush options are available — just ask.

9. How many images will we receive?
Each session includes a guaranteed number of edited photos (which will be listed in your contract). I always deliver the best images, edited with care, so the final count may exceed the minimum guarantee.

10. Are prints or albums available?
Yes. Once your gallery is live you can order professional prints, canvases, albums, or digital collections directly through your online gallery.

11. Can we bring pets?
Absolutely! Pets are welcome for outdoor sessions. If your pet is shy, bringing a leash and treats helps. For in-home or newborn sessions, we’ll talk ahead to make sure everyone (including the pet) is comfortable.

12. Do you travel?
Yes — I travel throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Travel fees may apply based on distance. Let’s chat and figure out what works for your location.

13. What is your payment policy?
A non-refundable retainer reserves your date. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of the session (or per contract terms). Specific payment methods will be specified in the contract.

14. Can we share our photos on social media?
Yes! I absolutely encourage you to share your gallery. Just please use the edited files as delivered (avoid re-editing or adding filters, since it changes the look/style). Tag @KaetlynDossPhotography when you share — I love seeing and resharing your images!

15. What if the kids/pet/baby aren’t cooperating?
No stress. My session style is relaxed and fun — I build in wiggle time, play prompts, and plenty of movement to capture authentic, loving moments. We’ll roll with whatever mood your family is in and still create beautiful images.
